Also known as “Egg of Sun”, this mango has scattered and golden-coloured fragrances. The fruit weighs over 350 grams and has a sweetness of 15 percent higher than other mangoes. It has high levels of antioxidants, beta-carotene, folic acid, and improves eyesight. It has also been used as a medicine to treat cancer and cholesterol-lowering medicine. The value of this mango is as high as Rs 2,50,000-3,000,000 per kg in international market. Why is it so expensive? There are several reasons. This mango is cultivated only in Japan and is now being grown in India. It is grown in many states such as Telangana, AP, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh. Due to the high demand, farmers are providing special security for the Miyazaki trees in Madhya Pradesh by keeping dogs as guards.
